Une bonne conjunction: 10.000 and 10.000... très bien vu! La photo est vraiment belle, l'aime beaucoup la force avec laquelle le monastère se dresse sur les montaganes, sa couleur, si blanc, au milieu des nuages orageuses. Une composition très équilibrée, très bien composée! Merci.

Superbe lumière sur ce temple ! J'aurai juste préféré que tu gardes le format 3/2 originel en rognant un peu la partie supérieure ciel. Tu as modifié les niveaux par PP, sur un fichier en mode 8 bit (par exemple un JPEG) ce qui provoque des escaliers légèrement visibles dans le dégradé du ciel. Encore un avantage du RAW !
Ravi de te faire passer dans le clan des posteurs de bouses à plus de 10000 pts (certains membres comprendrons l'allusion)

Hi Vincent,
We don't see that much images from Bhutan here on TE so i am glad you bring them up. This one is not only good because of the beautiful building, but that grey/blue cloud in the back is really making the contrast.
Despite the fact that the right wall is a bit over-exposed i like the impact that this building has...very nice.

Nice catch Vincent. Perfect lighting and really well exposed. The shadows on the Dzong look greta, along with the side lighting and the detail is really good also. The darker, cloud filled sky really adds some drama to the photo.

...and an early congrats on 10,000. Great portfolio. You definitely deserve it.

10 000 points,ça ne veut rien dire,par contre 10 000 points en seulement 145 photos,voilà qui devient admirable!Il faut dire que la galerie est de qualité,et que les points sont amplement mérités!
Cette photo en est un superbe exemple:magnifique point de vue,monastère idéalement placé,lumière sublime,couleurs éclatantes...Ah bon,elle n'a pas été faite en RAW?Ceux qui voient ça doivent être capables de voir l'oiseau blanc qui tournoie ;.)

Hello Vincent. Congratulations on breaking into the ten grand plus zone. Now its a long way to 20,000. I see you have the 20D as well as the 300D Canon. I am wondering how many photos you were able to take with it before it started failing on you. Mine almost made it to 20,000 photos until the shutter started failing. I think its from taking too many photos pointing into the sunlight. Not sure..now.. because I am happy with the 400 Xti. The scene here is very interesting and enjoyable to view. Good work and thanks for sharing!

Salut Vincent,

Je te félicite par l'anniversaire et les 10000 points. C'est une numéro respectable et l'atteindre avec seulement 145 photos dit beaucoup sur la qualité de tes posts.

J'étais un peux nostalgique de plus de photos de Buthan et cette si est très belle et gradieuse. Cette mélange de soleil fort, ciel plombe, foret verte et la gompa blanche et rouge la font très effective avec les couleurs et le POV fait le reste.

Le OE du mur ne me dérange pas et il me parait impossible d'éviter.

Superbe batiment sous une belle lumiere qui fait ressortir ses blancs et le fait ressortir au mieux de son environnemment. Par contre je trouve ton PP un peu visible, on voit un halo autour du toit et des lignes dans le ciel au centre droit. En lisant l'echange avec JP je te souhaite bienvenue au club des bouseux du JPG... avant qu'ils de decouvrent le chemin vers la lumiere du RAW, probablement apres un retraite dans un dzong ;-)

Le ciel gris bien fonçé fait ressortir ce temple d'une façon extraordinaire. Tu l'as capturé sous un superbe éclairage et le rendu est très beau. Je l'aurai bien vu situé sur la droite de ta photo, mais sans doute avais tu quelque chose qui te gênait pour le faire...

Une image aux contrastes très marqués, avec la façade de droite qui est même surexposée tellement la lumière était forte. Hormis ce petit défaut, je trouve la compo superbe et j'aime la manière dont cette forteresse semble surgir de la forêt, au sommet de la colline.

The most important factor in the image is distribution of subject as three parts. Gray Sky, foreground trees and the architecture in combine is giving nice effect. Excellent POV and sharpness here.

Ce que je trouve marrant, c'est que ce genre de gompas, je ne l'ai vu que dans des ambiances arides, désertiques et austères...
Le fait de le voir dans une végétation luxuriante, bien verte est très inattendu et même troublant.

The lighting is ideal here and the POV well chosen. I like the way the structure is surrounded by trees and perched precariously on a hillside. The threatening sky is given much play here and really helps make the ambience complete. The clarity of detail is also impressive. A fascinating spot. Salut Vincent, ça fait parti des endroits fascinants comme il y en a qq uns dans le monde, enfin plus que qq uns, mais celui ci, le bouthan en fait parti ... Elle sont rares les photos du bouthan, et tout ce qui est rare est précieux, c'est donc avec délectation que je l'observe et la regarde dans ses moindres recoins. Je t'épargnerai les observations jpg vs raw, parfois en photo le plus souvent même ce qui est pris en photo prime sur la technicité ... et franchement question PP c'est très soigné.
Bravo, et bravo pour cette marque atteinte

J'aime beaucoup ta photo, mais si cela avait été possible, (je ne sais pas ce qu'il y avait à gauche), j'aurais calé le bâtiment sur la droite, pour qu'il vienne finir sur la gauche, dans la végétation. Bonne luminosité et couleur sympa.

I like how you framed the fortress between the tree-covered hillside and that dark sky, but personally I'd have preferred it with less sky at the top of the frame. Scrolling the image up the frame until there is about half as much sky gives it a better balance, I think. A crop would also get rid of that bright patch in the top right corner which interferes with the dark moodiness elsewhere.
It's hard with white buildings in contrasty lighting, but even so I'd have preferred it if you could have avoided the burn-out on the wall of the fortress.
Despite these niggles, I think the shot is well taken - it looks a wondeferful place.

Very nice shot of an interesting and unusual scene. I like it.

Image is tilted. One wall of building is overexposed, and the upper right corner of the sky is a little too bright, and is therefore distracting from the main subject. There is a distracting element dead center at the bottom of the frame.

The image rendered a little too dark in the shadows compared to the original.

Please see workshop for suggested corrective measures.
