Photographer’s Note

It was evening,I met them,a Bhutanese woman and her child.She was on her way to home after a hectic routinised daily work.On my request she had agreed to give me permission to take a snap. The face of child attracts me too much because it looks so much innocent and he/she had total faith to his/her responsible mother, who carries(by a cloth tied to her)him/her and take care even in her working hours.
I took this shot at Phuntsholing ,a boarder town of Bhutan and India. You can reach there from North Bengal's Joygaun. Indians not have to carry passport or visa to reach Phuntsholing(but have national identity card).

The mother and baby are beautiful. I like the way they are posing sideways and looking directly at you. There are one or two things I think could be improved so I have done a workshop. Hope you don't mind.

Hi Subhendu,
This is a lovely portraits of the young mother or sister and the child. very beautiful people. Life was not always kind to some of the people in that part of the world, but they managed and keep a very good attitude. I would love to visit Bhutan one day, but they are just so expensive for us. Thanks
