[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A woman learning embroidery at a school for traditional arts and crafts in Thimphu, capital of Bhutan.
Bhutan is carefully nurturing its cultural traditions. Everyone has to wear traditional clothes, and all buildings must conform to the local architectural style even when modern materials and techniques are used.
The good side of this is that Bhutan stands out among all other countries, the negative aspect is that minorities may have a hard time. About 100 000 Bhutanese of Nepalese origin have had to leave the country after being refused citizenship and now live in refugee camps in Nepal or India.

Hi Gert,
Nice photo with natural lighting, Bhutan is one of the last untouch country country on earth the Last Shangrila. Hope to vist before it is spoilt by morden civilisation.
