[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Paro dzong. The dzongs are the best known features of Bhutanese architecture, fortress-like structures housing the administrative and religious centres of each district, dzongkhag. Usually one half of a dzong is used by monks, the other half by the district bureaucrats. The local law court can usually also be found somewhere in the dzong.
The construction of Paro dzong started in 1644. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1907. Film director Bernardo Bertolucci shot some scenes of his movie Little Buddha inside Paro dzong.
Foreigners - properly dressed - can enter Bhutanese dzongs accompanied by their guides.
This is a scan of a Kodachrome slide.

Hej Gert,
Interesting note to accompany this fine photo. A successful scan, in my opinion. The colours are good and look quite natural. The composition leaves nothing further to wish, there is a sense of peace and harmony in the picture.
