[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I was exploring the Paro Dzong, an enormous religious/government building above the town I came upon this windy cooridor where many novice monks were rushing off to class. I found this compisition and waited for then next monk to come around the corner and then snapped this picture.

Very nice photo David!!
I like it a lot!!
Cheers
Adam

PS
next time put your signature smaller or on frame, so the pic would be the most important.

The composition is really good, and light, and colors. Nice catch!

Great picture! The red is so vibrant and you can feel the wind blowing. I wonder why the worried expression on the little monk's face.

PS: I agree with Adam's comment on the signature.

I really like your picture both in terms of composition but also the balance of colours.

Good picture

Hello David,
Lovely colours. And good framing that balances out image and focuses our eyes onto the monk. Lighting's superb, too. Great work. & a Great start in TE!

Hi David - compliments of the photo. I really like the off-centre framing and the colours and light are beautiful. I imagine some post-processing was done to increase saturation?

Cheers,

James.

Hi,

Really great shot! Somehow this really stands above a lot of the novice shots I've seen recently. Really beautiful light, especially on the flowing cape.

Nicely done.

Hello David. I think it is a great shot, a good moment with the robe is the wind like that combined with that environment makes a great a atmosphere. The light and colors are also quite nice. I was going to mention the copyright as well... but I it looks like the dead horse has already been beat enough :)

Welcome to TE...
Narayan

Hi David,
Fantastic catch! I like everything about this photo, especially the light and composition. My complements!

Hi David. Almost everything has already been seen in TE regarding monk's photographs, but you've managed to capture an exceptional one that has its place, IMO, among the best. great composition, sense of movement and management of light. I wish you hadn't written your name on the photograph though 'cause it's distracting and not very aesthetic.

David,
Good eye,
The square box window and the red robe capture thew eyes first. It is these two elements that make this image a very good capture. The walkway is also an interesting mosaic that adds beleivability to the textures of the walls...

I love the deep red contrasting with the dirty white and black shadows, and the gust of wind makes the boy look so lonely. It has a dark lost feeling to it.

Very nice shot! I like the framing of this, with the monk standing out so well against the background and no distractions or clutter. Excellent!

Hi David
I like the atmosphere and colours and your compo by placing the little monk to a side. I don't like the name in the picture. But that's a choise.
greetings Albrecht

the billowing robe.. along with the scattertile flooring and the cracked plaster wall.. their colors and the monk's expression.. together reveal the immediacy of the moment, the weather wthin and the weather outside!
