This valley is in excess of 2000 meters above sea level ... sure don't look like it huh?
Met a couple of Italian guys and their experience in the Dolomites is pretty different.
Back there, there's no vegetation above 1500 meters, and the mountains really "feel" like mountains, whereas the mountains here in Gangtey valley feels like "hills". hmmmm .... interesting. Got to visit the Dolomites someday. :)
BTW, I've also learned that Dolomites is pronouced as "Do-lo-mi-tis", while I have been pronouncing it as "Do-lo-mikes"...... |
