Photographer’s Note
A shot from a sandbank created as a result of receding water levels.
People from the mainland take boats and enjoy walking around these new lands in the evening. Here a group is walking in the far distance on the sand bank.
The Jamuna river is so wide that sand banks like these seem to go on forever! They disappear underwater very soon after the summer months.

Arif, very nice picture,it gives a sense of immensity of nature compared to the small man.

Very nice image Arif. I like the scale of the vision with the tiny people on the shore. Almost like a big abstract painting, but with people added. Shades of Mark Rothko in the vertical composition.
