One of the many rickshaw wallahs, (drivers). I made a series of rickshaws and their drivers while in Bangladesh, this was in Barisal.
Rickshaws are an incredibly cheap way to travel through the towns. Our rickshaw driver cycled us about 3 kms and we paid him thaka 50 (0.50 euro cent), we knew that we paid 3 x too much, but we could not bring ourselves to pay the normal thaka 12.

not much difference apparently between Bengladesh and India, at least in terms of urban transportation
A good portrait in daily life conditions
have a nice WE, best regards

It appears that rickshaw wallah is very happy to pose for you and you have taken full advantage to fill the frame with a lovely portrait of him.
A super holiday photograph with great charm and interest.
Kind regards Les.

How could anyone not love this photo!!!! I know i do.
The colors, the person, the rickshaw, and just the overall colors and many details.
The photo almost comes alive.

This is an interesting shot which gives me a good sense of the place. This sort of street photography is not easy and it is often the case that there is so much going on that it all becomes a bit overwhelming. But here you have managed the exposure so well, to isolate and focus in on just one character full framed. The colours, textures and clarity are brilliant -shallow dof has further enhanced the effect and the tough wallah - at the third- draws out so much emotion adding the "price-winning element" for me. This is great journalistic shot, a humanity subject that tells an amazing story!!
My compliments :))

Hi Elaine, Beautiful portrait, I like the way you post process the images, nice sharp, contrasty and perfectly saturated.

It seems that you have taken this photo in the middle of a rickshaws hub, which is interesting considering surrounding sets of wheels. Your choice of subject is a great one, both for his compelling face, as well as as the way he is posing naturally. All these textures, from the plaid of his lungi to the flower on the rickshaw hood are a feast for the eyes.
Well filled frame and good filtered light, perfect for portrait.
Have a peaceful and stimulating year!
