Being a boatman and owning a boat is a trade that is passed down through from father to son, through generations. Here in Khulna, young boatmen, learning the ways of the river. The young boy in black was 13 and told me proudly it was his boat he was teaching his younger brother (on the left)a few navigational skills.

Kia ora Elaine,
This is a picture that tells a story. The proportions are excellent taken from a good point of view. Cheers, Neil

I think this is my favourite for the day. The curvacious shape of the timber boat fills the frame so nicely, and the pale, featureless background of water and sky makes the perfect backing for the three superbly placed figures, all at different depths. Only the reddish clothes break the gentle brown-grey-blackish tones, but they make great highlights. To top it all off, there's the boy's face, and even his feet seem to express something. Very well done.

It's a wonderful photo here...just a great feel to the whole scene. The way you've photographed the boat straight on...and this young man's proud appearance...as well as his little brother off to the left, really combine for a beautiful shot. It must have been a moment to treasure on a trip.
