Photographer's Note
It is the dry season and the Sangu river is at its lowest. People can easily walk across the river, boats often get stuck and have to be pushed and dragged along the river. The very fertile river banks are full of produce, tobacco and vegetables. The story is very different in the wet season. This shallow river becomes violent with rapids currents and is as high as the first row of trees.

Hi Elaine
A fabulous river scene from unknown place, something diff from what we used to see on TE no people's fav brilliant blue! A beautifully calm and balanced image despite the grey weather, but signs of lively activities are everywhere and lots of greening on the fg & mid fg full of vitality and the faint diagonal line gives a good contrast in shape too. A strong composition with the wide open spaces and the compositional elements come together nicely, the stranded boat is there as strong anchor just waiting to be shot with the tiny fig gives us the ideas of scale proportion. The mist and glimpse of distant moutains further add the beauty and peacefulness making this image more complete. A fine photo work, delghtful and tx for sharing.
Warm regards
