Photographer’s Note
Most labourer of the ship breaking yards come from different parts of Bangladesh. Most of them are children. In the photo, some labourers including child labourers are working with a wire that used to tow ships or to tow parts of ships. No heavy duty gloves or boots are provided to wear during work in the yard.

Hi Wahid,
Great to see you here...I am sure you will gain lots from the people on this site. Ok, I will jump straight in and be honest with you, as you know you would like me to. You know I feel yur subject matter is a good one. However, I do not feel that it is very clear. Ok, i can see the children and that they are all pulling on a wire of some sort, but it would have been great to get see the ships in the background... As it stands, I think the picture would be stronger if we could see these extra details. I remember you telling me that you spent only one day here - I feel it would be worth a second, third and fourth visit - whatever it takes to get these pictures right...

for me the biggest problem with the picture is that it looks posed, it's like someone may have told them to pull and look at the camera at the same time, they could have been playing a game for all I see. Unfortunately the picture doesn't exactly show the hardship or intimacy, but four happy boys holding on to a rope.
Welcome to TE.
Peter
