A salesman in a street somewhere in the old part of Dhaka in 1972. I think it's ginger in the basket and maybe coriander in the bag, two essential ingredients in all south Asian cooking.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.

I especially like the great brown colour tones of this one, a very good impression of street reality.
Perfect blur in the background, too.

Another excellent and interesting portrait from this journey in 1972. Soft and harmonic colours.

Great capture of daily life. The mans eye contract really makes the shot. Good scan, wow from '72. well done.

You can tell it's a a scan, but this truly is a great post. The man's look is just right, the colours are perfect for the shot and I love the old box in the front. Respect!

Nice composition (cropping, are we?)The robe of the man in the background seems overexposed, or rather your scanner ruined the quality. But I wouldn't make a big fuss of it, because the picture is quite old and the man you wanted to shoot (damn, now I sound stupid but you know what I mean)was in the shadow.

Hi Gert, being a scanner of slides myself, I was temped to have a go at this and see what some PP could do, both to change the dark and light spots and also the colour. Hope you don't mind. Cheers, Steve

Not a recent photo, it was quite easy in your gallery to recognize the rendering of the Kodachrome.
Looking to your photo is like looking the National Geographic due to the subject and the special colors of this slide film.
I like the square framing which fits very well to this scene and makes us focusing on the man.
A good evidence of this place,

You're capturing well this daily life by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see the man who sells ginger and coriander at the roadside. He seems to be tired a little. His beard and hat are impressive as the feature of this area is expressed. And, it's a good capture and effective for other sellers at left side.
