| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| These crosses are carved into the side of a mountain just north of the city of Yerevan, Armenia. The crosses adorns the side of one of the first official Christian Churches. Armenia was the first county to officially adopt Christianity as its national religion in the fourth century A.D. The church on this site first existed as a cave carved into the sandstone cliffs of the mountain. Later, in the 11th century, a new temple was constructed on the site. Today, both structures can be visited. |
