Photographer’s Note
About a decade ago, when priests and religious services were still rather rare in Armenia, burning candles and praying in front of them were the most visible outings of religiousness. Many of the older churches inside are black from ages of smoke. Now often this practice is moved to some side building or outside wall.
Here a pic from Sourp Sarkisian church in Yerevan city.
