road to Kapan - south Armenia - a hundereds of dangerous turnings...I wrote ironic that it is bored

The Syunik region is stunning: a mosaic of lofty mountains, lush green valleys, raging rivers, deep rocks and jagged canyons. Also known as Zangezur, it is the biggest province in Armenia (4506 sq. km) and is comprised by the districts of Kapan, Goris, Sisian and Meghri.
Kapan is a nice town built along two rivers that join in southern Armenia. The area has a lot of deep green forests, and a few nice monasteries and fortresses. The city is proof that Soviet architecture need not always look bad.

Interesting road! seems to be quite boring and "dangerous". Good framing and POV. Well seen.

A stunning view indeed! Your point of view couldn't be better. The colour's contrast between the grey band of the street and the surrounding bushes and trees is amazing. The included truck works very well here. A great photo!

Very nice composition of an amazing view. The truck adds great scale and depth. The green are very well reflected. Have you travelled on your own car or by public transport to those remote regions?

Hi Grzegorz,
this is an older of your post, but it brought back good memories of my bicycle trip to Mehri in 2004. You rendered the many winding roads well; to us this was not boring at all to climb up! But I know you just made a joke. There are few good pictures on Armenia on TE, so keep up the good work!

Great picture (again) from Armenia! The 13 dangerous U-turns have been a great subject for a photo here! It looks amazing, I've never seen it from above like this, so thx for showing it to me :)
