Photographer's Note
I'm usually a people photographer, but sometimes a landscape is so breathtaking I have to try and capture it.

This "cone" architecture is quite widespread around the Caucasus and it is very typical of the region. You found an "eagle's POV" to give that nice landscape. And the light you found was also very good.

Bonjour Sue
What a lovely place !
You managed the timing to the perfection. The sun starts where the cliffs begins. Cool.
Bravo

Hello Sue,
Yes, this landscape and the location of the monastery are breathtaking!
The sun illuminates beautifully the rocky promontory on which the monastery is built while the gorge is in the shade.
I also like the shadows of the mountain peaks at the right side.
Is this place hard to reach?
Best regards, Paul
