Photographer’s Note
Very little is known about the Zorats Stones. The best guess is that they may form part of an ancient observatory from pre-historical times. These old rocks sit on an exposed, wind-blown hilltop in the south-eastern part of the country.

There are some many stones. You could easily compose the shot with some (one) of them in foreground and the other in background. That would be more impressive.

Hi jonathan, I like here your framing, the stones detach well from the background, the level of detail as well as the colors are excellent. Armenia is not a very popular country on TE so thanks for sharing your photos from there.

True, the composition could be a little better, but this is an interesting subject, and the blue background, showing the hills, is very nice. The bright sunshine on the stones is a little harsh on the details too, but overall I think this is good. Thank you for sharing. :o)

Hi Jonathan! Really like your composition here. The stones providing good subject matter for the photo. I like the way the background is slightly blurred, giving a seemingly mystical feel to the stones, well done!

Your composition is fine with me, Jonathan, rather I am missing something for a scale, I really don’t know whether the biggest stone is 2, 3, or 5 m high. Then I suspect some oversaturation of colors, as in vast majority of pictures here on TE. One really too often can not rely on colors seen on the screen. I consider suggestion to Adam to make a strong recommendation or even obligatory to indicate in the note the extent of color saturation and contrast enhancement in the PP.
But this is all in all a nice picture making a true impression of monumentality of the object.

Nice colours: is that largely due to changes done on the computer? The background gives a good impression for the location of the stones on an exposed remote hilltop. The dark shadows on the right of the stones seems unnaturally black in the picture: is that how the original also appears.

Interesting information. The colors are amazing. Great shot. Is the site only this much or are there something else on lower or upper parts? Thanks...
