On the highway
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Rush hour on the highway through northwestern Afghanistan in May 1973.
I was travelling by pickup-truck, but when the hills were too steep we were told to get off and walk. This was one of those places. I had just reached the top and was waiting for the truck. Two of my fellow passengers are appearing behind me, while a man on his horse is riding down towards the truck.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide. |

Hej Gert,
The slopes down to the road make a fine and well balanced composition. The grey sky suits the calm and peaceful atmosphere in a good way. How did you travel here?
