| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
For those who may be disappointed that there are no women in my pictures from Afghanistan, here is at least some kind of sample. Two burqas in trendy spring colours on display at a women's fashion shop in Mazar-i-Sharif.
And for those who may believe that the burqa was a Taliban invention, this picture was taken in May 1973, when the Taliban leaders were just naughty teenagers or innocent little boys.
Scanned from a Kodachrome slide. |

Hi Gert. Well themed. The contrast of the dress and the wall is really interesting. The note too is informative. TFS. Regards.

Hej Gert,
The colours of the fabrics and the wall look very fine together. An interetsting photo, but something here makes me think of Batman, I don´t know why, do you?

Hej Gert,
Ghost from the past, its a very strange impression I get from those burqas on dry, kind of a batman cape.
Good documentary image.

Hi Gert,
Kind of funny picture. Clothes drying under the sun showing in a very effective way it's Afghanistan!
Cheers
Marc
Interesting contrast between the dress and the wall
Best Regards
