Photographer’s Note
This was taken in the American base at Kandahar. Every week the local traders go onto the base to sell their goods to the NATO troops and earn some hard currency. This little chaps Dad made some of the finest rugs I have ever seen. He has definately got his Dads sense of business acumen, as he charged me two dollars to take his picture! He is the future of business in Afghanistan, and if he is anything to go by, then the country is going to be booming in a few years!
