Photographer’s Note
Here's one from last year. I've finished posting from Tallinn but haven't got around to processing the Bangladesh pics yet - so here's an archive shot from Afghanistan.
Ghowr Province is in the centre of the country and I took this shot on the route between Chaghcharan and the Minaret of Jam. This boy was in the middle of nowhere in an area populated by the transient nomadic people.
The shot is not actually taken in Masjed Negar but it's the closest place I can find on the map.

Belle photo reportage !

Hi Jonathan,
How nice to see another shot from your travel to Afghanistan. This is very good portrait of the hard daily life in there. His clothes and the sad expression (and he knows that he's beeing photographed), make us think how bad must be the living conditions in there. Excellent natural colours, lighting and sharpness, that shows us this close up scene in a very clear image. The sheeps make a nice pattern against the naked landscape. Very well done and thanks a lot for sharing!

Hi Jonathan,
As Wes says, the boy seems to have a hard life. His coat is full of holes and one can only hope he will have an opportunity to improve his situation, though he may well love herding. Crisp and clear resolution. Your tight cropping is effective. Well done.

Hi Jonathan, It looks that it is a hard life live in that area, by judging the clothing and the boy's expression. He should belong to a school. I guess he got to work for living. The grass seems not so rich for the sheep in the area.
An excellent catch of the daily life. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jonathan,
Beautiful picture. I would say: “A excellent compact composition with all the sheep close together and the boy with his sad eyes and threadbare clothes beside.
