Photographer’s Note

Bouskatchi à Kaboul pour l'anniverssire du Roi.
Encore une photo de mes réserves quasiment archéologiques vue la date où je l'ai prise !!
La qualité a sûrement beaucoup à se faire reprocher mais telle qu'elle est la photo me fait penser à un tableau de Delacroix et finalement il faut un peu priviligier l'atmosphère.
L'agitation des cavaliers avait soulevé beaucoup de poussière pulvérulente.
Ce jeu est très violent et les coups de cravaches pleuvent pour récupérer un bouc rempli de sable et le poser dans un cercle devant le jury.

What a beautiful picture with a lot of action and drama. Reminds of the time when Afghanistan wasnt wrecked by the world powers. I hope they see the same days once more.

i quite like this dynamic shot with the white center. the movement however, is begging for a more horizontally elongated crop (i think). you wouldn't lose too much cropping off some from the top.

Salut Michele,

This is an excellent capture and I liked their movements a lot there. The dust cloud, yellow ground, dynamism are beautiful with unbeatable value of film grains. Congratulations.
