Photographer’s Note
For the first time in the history of the country, Afghanistan is voting for a president. Three days after voting day, helicopters start bringing in returns from provinces surrounding Kandahar. This picture shows workers inside Kandahar Stadium unloading ballots from neighboring Oruzgan Province.
Three years before, this stadium was used by the Taliban for executions.

Hello David, thanks for this great picture of history in Afghanistan happening right in front of your lens. The line of boxes leads the eye into the frame and towards the helicopter. The blades somehow fit just right above the heads of the people. Why no other points?
