Photographer’s Note

A lonely figure walks back across the fields after a hard day's work. The low sun gives the man a long shadow to accompany him. This picture was taken from an open minibus window on the road from Chist-e-Sharif to Obey.

Hi Jonathan. at first, I thought this was a rice field photo by Mohammad in Iran... it is a similar composition (although more arid) which is certainly a compliment. I like the guy in the corner, but I would prefer to see the full length of this long shadow. otherwise, great lines and great job.

Hi Joanathan,
A very nice diferent one. The shot got marvellous well composed, taken in consideration it was from inside the mini-bus. My similar tries, didn't get this good.
The result pattern of the perspective of the fields, from this angle is very expressive and that guy overthere, sure adds a very interesting plus to the shot. Very well done!

Great shot from above. The lonely figures is well placed to emphasize the scale of the landscape. The framing brings out the pattern of the landscape well.

This is a truly amazing shot considering it was taken from a bus. I can't get over the clarity and texture in this shot - it's hard to believe this was taken while you were moving. The composition is excellent, with the tiny figure in the lower corner, set against the jumple of patterns in the fields. Excellent!

Quite hard to understand, but finally, it could be an abstract shot about farming. I didn't see the guy at the beginning. I like him.

It is the presence of the man which really makes this shot, providing a focal point well positioned against the otherwise empty fields. Really well composed, especially given that you were on a bus at the time.

Composition extraordinaire avec ces champs qui font un graphisme intéressant et cet être humain dans un coin comme une fourmi qui se déplace. C'est du beau travail !
