Great contrast between the details of the erodaded decorations and the smooth simple modern mosk and the vague contours of the dry mountains.

hi nice composition, i liek the division into two, the close-up and the distant minarets, i liek the fact that the edge of the wall is irregular which adds some charm and makes it better than if it were a straight wall ( i am not sure if you knwo what i mean) anyway, great place.. afghanistan...

Hi Jonathan, You have well made use of the old architecture to frame the view of the new mosque. This picture has well shown the transition of the culture, the religious, and the thought in the area. Good to include the mountain and the blue sky as the beautiful background. Well done.

A lot to notice hear with the historical monument, contrasting with the mosque and the mountains in the distance. The details on the dome could possibly be excerpts from the Koran. This is common with architecture of the time and location. Seems to come out well here, with the colours well balanced.

hi Jonathan. nice detail and contrast in the buildings. the light is a bit harsh on this one, though... but i guess you have been spoiling us with such great light on all the other photos.
