Photographer’s Note

The day before the September Parliamentary and Provincial Councils Elections the atmosphere got nervous even in the peaceful city of Herat. This candidate (you can guess easily which one it was, or you may check his portrait on the wall) invited the EU observers to his staff meeting to present his complaints on allegedly unfair campaigning of one of his rivals.
I couldn’t resist of taking pictures of these men, as if there gathered roughly 30 most expressive representatives of various types and characters of Afghan people.

Peter, it could be a nice study about the different faces - but the flash was not strong enoughr for that.
I'd make a strong crop from the upper part, to have only the candidate's stuff in the photo
