Photographer’s Note
One of the market streets in the centre of Herat, over 2 mln. capital of the homonymous province on the West of Afghanistan.
Herat is allegedly the best preserved, i.e. less damaged city by various and permanent wars of the last decades. It is less dusty, less sad, its overall mood seemes to be more positive to the new developments, but all that is very relative, apparent only after being in Kabul. No excitement, but at least one of a few slightly positive impressions from that poor country: image of normal, although exotic life.

There's a lot of people staring at you :). This is a very nice daily life shot. You captured the busy feeling of streets like this, I can almost hear the sounds. I like your perspective allowing the eye to follow the street, but at the same time showing some people and details up front.

Excellent shot from daily life, though for some of us very exotic and dangerous, too. In one shot you caught all the aspects of poor and difficult life in present Afghanistan.
