Superb group portrait! Well-presented in monochrome (although the fact that they are working on wad suggests there may have been great colors in the original shot?) -- this presentation reduces the scene to its central elements: the women's faces and hands, and the awesome mountains. Well done, thanks for sharing!

wow, this picture is very important. It dispels many notions we may have about Afghanistan. It's not a picture of warriors nor of hooded women but of well clad persons showing their happy faces. And we also see that the Badakhstan people look quite different from, say, Hazara or people from Herat. What a pleasure to look at your gallery!
