Photographer's Note

One from my archives. This photo was taken in 1970 on my first Overland journey across Asia. It was the only time I was able to travel across Afghanistan, then a peaceful country under the control of a king & then far removed from the politics that were later to destroy it! Ghazni is on the road between Kabul & Kandahar and in 1970 wss one of the most picturesque towns in Afghanistan. Photo was taken on Kodacgrome ASA 25 slide film (development & mounting were always included) using a Ricoh Singlex camera - this was my first SLR which I had purchased in Fiji two years earlier. Photo scanned & digitised.
