Photographer’s Note

One of the fabulous blue lakes of Band-e-Amir taken from the shore line. This is the most popular spot to visit. It has a mosque, shops, restaurants and even a boat for excursions on the lake.

Band-e-Amir means "Dam of the King". The colour is caused by minerals and sulphur deposits have created huge walls that hold back the water.

Tue, weswang, jafadabret, riclopes, PJE, bibiweb, fireflyz, capthaddock has marked this note useful
