I have done some processing on this.

This is Band e Ameer. A chain of five natural limestone dams/lakes situated 4 hours drive away from the city of the Buddhas of Bamian. The average depth of one of the dams is said to be about 80 meters while the blue glittering color of the water is thanx to the mineral present in the water.

It is one of the most amazing place I have ever been to...

Love the wonderful colous and composition in this picturesque landscape shot. I can only think of rugged mountains when i imagine Afghanistan. Your images seem to change my opinion. TFS
