Hi Hadi,

This is the first time I've seen your album. You have some really nice photographs here. This one caught my eye because of the colours. The deep blue of the water is really nice, I like the way it contrasts with the surrounding landscape and you've achieved good detail in both.

Although I'm not familiar with this part of the world, I can appreciate that the sunlight was very bright. Unfortunately, this has left the landscape looking a little bit over exposed. There are a couple of ways that I know of that you could have reduced this effect.

I don't know what sort of camera you were using here but, if possible, you could have either increased the apeture value (created a smaller apeture) or used a shorter shutter speed. This would have darked the entire image slightly by reducing the amount of light entering the camera.

The other thing you could have done is use a polarizing filter. It would 'tone down' the brightness in the same way polarized sunglasses protect your eyes. I'm still learning as well so maybe other members might know more about it but it's the only fault I noticed concerning your use of the camera.

As for the composition, it's really good and I love the point of view but there appears to be an error with the angle you've held the camera. Where the water disappears in the distance should probably be horizontal, or very near to it. In your pic, it appears to slope down to the right.

Most good photo manipulating software provides a way that you can rotate your image slightly. If you were to do that and then crop it back to the shape you want, I think it would look better. Sloping horizons, though, are one of the most common mistakes I've noticed on Trek Earth so you're not alone!

While talking about photo manipulation software, whatever you've done with this pic has created an unnatural look to the sky. I suspect it may have happened if you increased the contrast a little too much. It's a mistake I've made myself on too many occasions but, as I said before, I'm still learning too. All I can suggest is that you keep an eye on it while you're working with your pics.

My last point would be that, when you're adding a title to your pic, it would probably be nicer if the text was on the frame rather than across the face of the image. In my opinion, it kind of spoils it.

Please don't feel bad that I've noticed so many things that could be improved with your pic because I think it's a lovely image and that you've done well, particularly for a first posting.

I hope that what I've written will be useful for you. It's an accumulation of information that I've gathered from other members since I've been a member of this site. Keep up the good work.
