Silkroad travel: Wakhan
This is a view to the South from the Tajik Badakshan side of the Wakhan valley. The Hindukush mountain to the right is Qullai (=peak) Noshaq, 7485 m high, the highest peak in Afghanistan.

I found a fitting citation of a former US Ambassador to Tajikistan: "Gorno Badakshan is not the end of the world, but you can see it from there".

I put the mark in "Map:View" directly on Quallai Noshaq.

A very beautiful capture thats full of imagination, freshness and energy. I like the texture and colour inter-play and the perspective. Good pov and use of depth. Overall creates a good impact. Nicely done. great job indeed.

Hallo Dieter!
Komme gerade vom Dienst und dann dies hier! Da bekommt man ja wirklich Fernweh!

Magic place. Dietmar I browse yoour folder and found you really fortunate to experience the silk road itself. Shots are very beautiful ones. Many thanks for sharing. Jalab

Hallo Dieter,

Chapeau, Dieter
Herzliche Grüsse
Anne

Hi Dietrich,
Wonderful picture.Congratulations.

Hello Dietrich

Wow! What a magnificent peak! You are having quite a journey. If I am ever in Switzerland, I would love to hear about this trip. The lighting on just the peak is fantastic. Now this is a truly untouched part of the world. Only in the northern India have I seen mountains so completely void of life.

But here even more so. Amazing.
