I tried to photoshop the glare of the sun out but as i'm still learning the tricks I didn't do too well so I left them in.

have you used UV filter? it helps to reduce glares of sun :)

Thank you Graeme for this photo! Pictures from Antarctica are rare and beautiful. This rock looks like a lion sitting.

Hello, Graeme, welcome to TE!
I like the drama in this shot. Actually, even the glare is not so much a minus point as it usually is. I see that Piotr was able to remove it in the WS, though I feel he also cut down the shadows, which I would have left intact.
Very nice image! Keep working on them.
