Middle of Antarctic summer... The Sun is hiding behind horizon just for 2 hours. Because angle of the Sun light is so small colors on Antarctic sky are really impressive. Unfortunately in Martine Antarctica, where I was working, it is very cloudy and you need to be patient to see so spectacular colors on the sky.

I thought from the thumbnail that this was some sort of variation of the stonehenge against a sunset shot. How clever to have applied a classic principle using penguins! Well done!

Indeed, the colorful sky is very beautiful and with the penguin silhouettes in the foreground, you created a great photo.

Very nice photo, much more because of the penguins giving life to this background of colorfull clouds. Very good job and thanks to share pictures from the far end of the world.

Hehe, we usually see silhouettes of people in the sunset, this is so awesome and cute, a beautiful composition, the sky is perfect and what really is perfect here are those little adorable penguins. Amazing shot.

Bellissima! I translate now: wonderful! As soon I saw it, my first think was in my own language (italian).
I really like your POV with the penguins in the low left side in silohuette against the amazing red/blue sky.

For the most of us it's not usual to take Antarctic photograhies, so thank's for sharing your pictures with us.
This is a great low POV with penguins silhouettes. You've been lucky in taking the most of them in profile, infact frontally they seem bowling skittles :-D

Love how you placed the penguins against the dramatic sky, though they don't really seem to appreciate the show ;-)

Stunning sky Piotr, and those Penguins give away where you are :-)

Ladne. Chlopaki sie rozgladaja na lewo i prawo, "Panowie, rano bedzie wialo"
Dobrze, ze zdecydowales sie na kadr konturowy. Wszystko dobrze zagralo.

Hi Piotr. You have posted some great images here, this is just one I'd like to comment on. The sunset with the penguin silhouettes in the foreground works really well here.

What a beautiful sunset, Piotr! I definitely hope to make it to Antarctica someday and witness the same beauty you were able to capture here. The silhouettes of the penguins give this picture an even more special touch :)
