It could be a black and white picture with just some orange added !

The wite see with the black ground are perfectly linked with the colours of the pinguins !

Excellent composition and timing.
I just wish there was a deeper depth of field to catch all the birds in the queue. But oh well, it is a detail compares to the general quality and atmosphere of this photo.

Splendid picture very well composed. I like the touch of color in this black and white atmosphere and the short DOF. Only first birds are sharp and then the others became more and more blur. So the eye come back on the first one.

Good depth of field, absolutely wonderful composition!
I think I would prefer a slightly slimmer frame, but i'm just spliting hair!

Hi Piotr,

I love this photo, it's a masterpiece!

Perfect timing too to capture this humerous line of waddling penguins. I particularly like the tall one near the back who is looking off to the right (his left!). The composition is spot on as is your DOF.

Your frame is a bit overpowering in my opinion but everything else is tremendous. Well done and best regards from England.

Everything looks good here, but what it really makes it special is all the pinguins beeing tiltted to their right side. It gives the impression of intentional coreography. Training moment for when they will be on stage?

A wonderful capture, Piotr! The birds appear as if well drilled for the march and it almost seems like the whole scene is choreographed (as someone else noticed). The determination on penguins' faces is priceless, accentuated even more by the bright "in-focus" eyes: one right on the horizontal top 1/3 of the foto; the other one - on the vertical right 1/3 of the photo. I also like the rythm created by penguins' red beaks and orange feet. Someone should write some music to for this picture. Well, I'll stop here, the composition is masterly in general and it goes straight to my favorites. :)
