Polish Antarctic Station, a photo from South Shetland Islands, Lesser

Photographer's Note

Poland has two Antarctic stations, first, on the Antarctica continent: Dobrowolski Station: this station it is close in the moment. The second one is ¨H.Arctowski¨ Station on King George Island in South Shetland Islands, in fiord Admirality Bay. I spend one and half year as a Geographer and Geologist making my work in this place. I´ll back to Poland in may 2007.
I made this photo using digital camera Olimpus 765 UZ. There are 5 photos put together in PanoramaMaker program.

A rare view from the distant lands of Antarctica
Good depiction of shapes in the snow.
Quite good lighting, really makes shapes stand out.

A very harsh corner of the world, but beautiful. Great shot of it - your camera does justice to the light and the smooth textures of the snow. Congratulations.
