La base científica peruana en la Antártida, aparece como una miniatura al pie del gigantesco glaciar que rodea la ensenada Mackellar, en la isla Rey Jorge. La belleza escénica del lugar es impresionante. En verano, durante todo el día, el color del hielo varia según la dirección de la luz solar que no desaparece. El azul domina el paisaje a las 3 de la madrugada.

Beautiful image. I like this blue color on the water and the glacier, I can feel the early morning light!
The composition is very good, with the small colored buildings at the bottom. They give us the scale and show us how enormous the glacier is.

This light is really amazing, Yuri--the blue is so rich! Normally one wants snow and ice to be their natural white, but somehow the blue works really well here. The buildings look so tiny and alone amid the grandeur of nature. Regards, Ken.
