Amazing Altocumulus lenticularis over King George Island, South Shetland - view from Polish Antarctic Station "H.Arctowski".

It was beginning of winter time, one of few sunrises like this in May 2006. During windy days this kind of clouds arise over mountains in maritime Antarctica. This lens-shaped clouds form over mountains because of wave movement of the air crossing a mountain ridge. Interesting fact is that this clouds are very stable during windy days and their position is in the same places during the same wind direction.

P.s. Technical detail, this photo is match of two photos made from tripod.
