Photographer's Note
Now that I have a bit of knowledge about postwork I decided to try it on this photo, one of my favorites.
cropped, darkened a bit and put some contrast, still a bit of noise but can't get rid of as my tools are limited. I want to know how I did, waiting for feedbacks...
On the zodiac going around a bay we encountered this gorgeous iceberg, The carvings made by the elements of nature is amazing and I hope i did it justice with my composition.

Nice work Gil, this is a definite improvement over the first one. It appears that the first one was pretty overexposed, and your darkening and contrast increase really helped correct the exposure. Interesting POV, this one was an eyecatching thumbnail!

An awesome site Gil. The saturation is supurb. I like your composition and perspective. The water looks fresh and deep and not as cold as it probably is.

Gorgeous shot! The patterns in the ice are very interesting and beautiful. Your processing looks pretty good to me - the colours and definition are great - very appealling shot, well executed!

Gil,
The image of this burg is fantastic as it shows the depth of the formation, and the detail leaves nothing to the imagination other than how cold it may have been on the zodiac. The blues Do Not bother me at all, it relates the temperature of this grand icicle as it should be.
I do not see any noise, but I was not the artist who took the image either,
Well done!
Nikola

Hello Gil! It's really an eye-catcher. Lovely colours and dramatic movement. You are right about the noise. I would like to help you with a workshop, but I have reached my limit so it will have to wait until tomorrow. I recently downloaded Neat image demo version (neatimage.com) and it's works wonders on noise in quite a fair share of the photos I have tried without changing the actual look of the photo. It's also very easy and quick to use.
Great one mate!
Best wishes,
Chris

Hi Gil,
I like very much the result of your post processing and think that the image gained a lot more impact. Sometimes just the fact of cropping and playing with contrast can produce good results.
You did a great job Gil !!!
Regarding noise, I can't really see it (even if just now I am using my 'main' monitor at home). Also (and coming from the 'old film days') I feel that noise can even add some 'personality' to the photos and, on the contrary, noise supression may affect sharpness, so in my case, I prefer living with a little noise rather than losing sharpness (and this is more noticeable in photos with heavy cropping). Anyway, that is just me.
Best regards,
Carlos

Hello Gil,
The original itself wasnt bad to start with, but this one is even better, its spectacular,
I like tha fact that you cropped of a bit of sky to decenter the iceberg,
the colours and light are so good,
you did a good job

Daniel

Hi Gil,
Lovely photo! Nice shot of the iceberg, but it may have a greater effect if there is greater contrast between the icebergs and the blue sky. Anyway, well done! ( I really wanna visit Antarctica =D)

Awsome pic love all the different shades of blue and how the light shadows, bring out the different colors. Interested to know how close the pic was taken from.

Hello Gil,
You must be a lucky one who can shoot this frame. I like iceberg’s great color and your composition under difficult circumstances. Congratulations.

Very nice picture!
I thing that just some little work would make a whole diffrence between a very nice picture and a "WOW" one!
Look at my workshop, I thing it just adds a "WOW" effect!!! :-)
