Photographer’s Note
Sunny day, -1 ºC, Neko Harbour at Antarctic Peninsula. The glacier north of us is calving very frequently sending large waves to the beach of our landing. I had a chance to make a shot of this avalanche of ice.

Really impressive ice glaciers! Must be impressive to see and hear that kind of avalanche. Great that you was just in time to shoot the picture.

The colours are very nice : the "pack" at the bottom of the picture, the front of the glacier and its surface.
I remember the very strong noise before the avalanche of ice in Spitzberg.
Well done Nikolay

Bonjour Nicolas
très intéressant cet instantané ; les lumières sont très brillantes, la chute de glace donne de l'action. Merci de nous présenter des scènes aussi inconnues.

Nikolay, you were lucky to see so many calvings, and to get this incredible photo -- it's beautiful!
I was in Neko harbor 2 weeks before you and there were no calvings going on there.
