[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken during the summer at Casey Station. A very inquisitive Adelie penguin . They return each summer to breed, usually around October/November, then head back out to the pack ice round about March. They busily build their nests out of small rocks, wandering back and forth with them held in thier beaks. No sooner do they head off to find their next stone, than the neighbour is stealing the one they've just laid down. Very entertaining to watch.

I have never seen this Adelie penguin or any other live penguin but this creature is one of my favorite and it is the logo for free open source linux OS.

I find this a fine post. A healthy creature and a lively one too. tfs
