Fishermen and dhows out in the early morning. This is on Mtoni beach on the west coast not very far from stone town. There are also some great old ruins of the Mtoni palace here which was the first palace of Sultan Said and the childhood home of Princess Salme. The palace was constructed between 1828 and 1834.

Hello Wanda,

This is a nice and peaceful scene. The little boats give the view a pleasant atmosphere. Nice panoramic perspective with excellent colours and decent sharpness. Your note is short but interesting. I think most people should at one time or another visit all this faraway places. Thanks Wanda.

Roberto

Hello Wanda:

This takes me resembles a watercolor painting, with soft colors and flashy.

The horizon has been well treated, with balance, the elements are well outside the center located in the composition, and depth of field is excellent, congratulations.

John

Dag Wanda,
Groetjes, Henk

Zanzibar is now on my most recent travelling list as I am preparing a holiday to Mozambique and Madagascar. I have been thinking to include Zanzibar on it as I thing it would not blow out my budget while being n the region. There is some Portuguese heritage in the island which I would like to see. How safe is the place, and how expensive is it? Easy to travel to? It is truly a nice shot with good colours and composition. Well done.

Thats wide, unlike your other shots, and sees the horizon off till as far as it can do. I love the lovely play of the textures and the sea. Good work

Hi Wanda,
This really looks like a painting .... wonderful POV. The horizontal lines in the water creates a pleasant structure to depict depth. I like how the sailboat in the right balances the whole scene. Well captured and composed. Well done! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hi Wanda,
Great impression with spectacular horizontal composition, I like the splendid details and the perspective, POV is superb. Beautiful work, Well done! Have a nice week
George

Wanda,
despite several technical flaws I still like this shot a lot. The crop and landscape presentation is a very good one giving a good enhancement for the horizontal layers of the image. The placement of the boat and the fisherman so off center is perfect.
The technical details that I dislike are the barrel distortion resulting in a concave horizon, the noise mainly in the sky.
What about your experience in Zanzibar? That is a place that I dream of visiting at some point!
Peter
