This shot was taken in Sossusvlei park. Often as I pulled the car over for a wildlife shot, the animals (ostrich, oryx, springbok) hurried away leaving too many photos of animals' backsides. This oryx, however, didn't seem disturbed and allowed me to take its photo with the deep red hues of the dunes in the background.

Nice pose. That's true, they generally prefer to have their backs taken into the picture. :-)
I understand your choice to include the detail of the background, nonetheless, f/13 doesn't seem to be creating enough DOF to give details. May I suggest a bit darkening and cropping (from above)?
