This may look like a lot of money but it was just enough to buy a newspaper in Zimbabwe. Inflation in the millions of percent means that a can of bakedbeans costs 250 billion Zim dollars!

Hello Sitthivet,
An unusual picture for TE, but really teaching us a bit about the world. I just read today that soon the Bank of Zimbabwe will scrap 10 zeros and issue a new currency. 10 billion dollars will equal 1 new dollar, I think.

Very good and unbelievable... This mean you need a very bag to carry all your money. But, then ,in order to buy the bag, you need a bag that is bigger in orde to carry the money for the bag.... very good !

as HOlmertz says, it is a quite uncommon picture for TE...but tells us a lot about that corner of war.
25.000.000 billions...you really need bags and bags of money...a very tragic situation..it reminds me of Alfred Doblin's book "Berlin Alexanderplatz"...describing life during the Weimar Republic...when bags of German MArks were also needed!

poor people who lives under a so terrible inflation. Nice your photo, very informative. it is a way to show people around the world how damage can be a government for its people and how we have be aware about inflation.

Very interesting. It has only space for numbers and letters; the giraffes are so small.
I notice also that there is written something like Best before..., 31th December 2008. I guess it will not reach that; by then it must have other 20 or 40 zeros added :-/
