This was made mayb years ago. It's big and it dams a vast expanse of the mighty Zambezi River! Kariba is about 270km long and was primarily for supplying hydro-electric power to Southern Africa. It's a beautiful place and the Zambezi is an awesome river! What's even more amazing is the size of the Vundu (catfish) below the dam wall. One can see them with bare eyes from this vantage point about a kilometre away!

A very beautiful picture with a good point of view! I like the foreground trees that you included to frame the subject.

Hi Paul,
Very nice view on this huge dam. It seems like the waterlevel of the lake is pretty low. Has it been very dry this year?
The colors look a bit flat, I would expect more intense colors but that could be a result of the strong light as well or myself using a pola-filter when I was in South-Africa a few years ago.
Well done and TFS,
Harko
