This photo was taken in South Luangwa National Park near dusk and pushing the limits of my zoom lens. The ISO is pushed pretty high and it was difficult to freeze the cubs in their movement.
This pride was made up of 21 lions with more than a few cubs. Following a long rest after eating the remains of a hippo, the lions began to come out of their slumber once the sun began to come down. They were soon spurred along a little by the appearance of a herd of elephants who quickly pushed the lions out of their sleeping area and towards the river bank where this photo was taken.
