Photographer’s Note
I took this photo in village near Lusaka, Zambia. These people are of the Bemba tribe. It was a very small cluster of about 5 thatch huts and one extended family. I took photos with a digital camera and immediately showed them the images. They were amazed and we had a wonderful time.

Digital photography is so nice for this kind of thing. It helps break the ice and the language barrier. Her t-shirt sporting an AIDS awareness walk, brings home once again how AIDS has changed these people lives. I wonder what the story of the younger sister was, the elder certainly has a tender smile on her face as she looks upon her younger sibbling.
Would have liked to have seen a little bit more space around them, but other than that its a classic TE shot.
