Photographer’s Note
One Can barely set foot in Zambia, without realizing that Christianity plays a huge role in everyday life. There are prayers given before buses leave Lusaka on cross country trips and clergy in uniform receive extreme respect. While Europeans may not agree with it, it is a fact of life in that country. Here is a picture from a church service during the reverend's talk to the children. They had been asked to show their hands to God.
Technically speaking this is another photo where I was not shooting in optimal conditions. I didn't want to use the flash, because that would just be rude, so this is the result.

Hi Kate!
Fantastic photo, a great example of photojournalism once again, perfect subject, excellent framing and composition and great light managment, under dificult conditions! Excellent photo, congratulations!

This is spontaneous and moving, too bad that we don't see the face of the child in the FG but his neighbour on the left has an incredible expression ! Maybe a tighter crop, taking a bit of the lower and left part would have put more emphasis on the children ?
Anyway, I love this kind of shots, they are telling so many stories !
Thanks to have posted this here and best regards,
Cath.
