This shot was taken in South Luangwa Park which has excellent viewings of leopard. Even though one has a good chance of spotting leopards (no pun intended), one still needs a bit of luck to see them moving around in the day, since they do appreciate hanging out in trees in the day. In this case, I had a little luck and the leopard walked right to us from several hundred feet away and actually stopped right next to the truck where she paused to observe the small herds of antelope (pkus and impalas) who were calling out warning
calls to each other. Then she turned and disappeared back into the high grass, perhaps to try her luck at hunting at a later time.
